ACCESS AND USE OF THE WEBSITE
You agree to only use the Website in accordance with these terms and any applicable laws.
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website https://buckselectrical.com.au/ (the “Website”), and any enquiry, quote request, or service booking made with Bucks Electrical, its owner, employees, contractors, and agents (referred to as “Bucks Electrical”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By accessing or using the Website, submitting an enquiry, requesting a quote, or engaging us to carry out electrical work, you (“you”, “your”, or the “Customer”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Website or engage our services.
We may update these Terms from time to time without prior notice. The version published on the Website at the time of your use will apply. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
Bucks Electrical is a licensed electrical contracting business (Licence No. LIC #284476C) providing residential and commercial electrical services across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs and surrounding areas, including but not limited to electrical repairs and installations, switchboard upgrades, lighting upgrades, solar and battery installation, home security and data/phone cabling, hot water repairs, and 24/7 emergency electrical services.
Nothing on the Website constitutes a binding offer to perform work. All work is subject to a separate quote, assessment, and acceptance in accordance with these Terms.
You may use the Website for lawful purposes only, including browsing our services, requesting quotes, and contacting us. You must not use the Website in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Website, or interfere with any other party’s use of it.
You must not:
While we take reasonable care to ensure the Website is accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that all content, including service descriptions, pricing indications, images, or service area listings, is complete, current, or error-free. Content is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute professional or technical advice.
Submitting an enquiry or quote request form through the Website (or by phone or email) does not create a binding contract. A binding agreement for services is only formed once we have provided a written or verbal quote and you have accepted it, and we have confirmed a booking.
Where we offer a free quote or consultation, this may be provided on-site or over the phone at our discretion, depending on the nature of the job. Quotes are based on the information and access provided at the time and may be subject to revision if the scope of work changes once work has commenced (for example, due to concealed wiring, pre-existing faults, or non-compliant existing installations discovered during the job).
Where we provide a fixed-price quote, that price will not change once work commences, provided the agreed scope of work remains the same. Any variation to the scope of work requested by the Customer, or required due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our reasonable control, may result in a revised quote, which will be discussed and agreed with you before additional work proceeds.
Emergency and after-hours services may be subject to call-out fees and different rates than standard business-hours work. These will be communicated to you at the time of booking, where practicable, or as soon as reasonably possible.
We ask that you provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule a booked appointment. We reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee for late cancellations, missed appointments, or where our electrician attends a site and is unable to gain access or commence work through no fault of ours.
Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of quoting or booking. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due upon completion of the work, or in accordance with any payment schedule agreed for larger projects. We reserve the right to require a deposit for materials or larger jobs.
Late payments may incur interest or additional recovery costs to the extent permitted by law. Title to any materials or goods supplied as part of the work does not pass to the Customer until payment has been received in full.
All electrical work carried out by Bucks Electrical is performed by licensed and insured electricians in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards, the Electricity (Consumer Safety) Act 2004 (NSW), the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW) (where applicable), and other applicable NSW electrical safety and licensing requirements.
Where required by law, we will provide a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW) and lodge it with the appropriate authority (such as NSW Fair Trading or the relevant network distributor) for eligible work.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW), including statutory warranties that apply to residential building work in New South Wales. Where our services or goods do not meet a consumer guarantee that cannot be excluded, our liability is limited, at our option, to the re-supply of the services, or the cost of having the services re-supplied.
Subject to clause 7.1, we provide a warranty on our workmanship for a period as advised at the time of the job (and, where applicable, in accordance with statutory warranty periods under the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW)). This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, third-party interference, normal wear and tear, pre-existing faults not caused by our work, or work carried out by other tradespeople after our involvement.
Materials, fittings, and equipment supplied as part of any job are subject to the relevant manufacturer’s warranty. We will pass on the benefit of any such warranty where applicable but do not independently warrant third-party products beyond what the manufacturer provides.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to clause 7.1, Bucks Electrical’s total liability arising out of or in connection with the Website or the services we provide, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, is limited to the amount paid by the Customer for the relevant service.
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss or damage, including loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption, arising from your use of the Website or our services, except to the extent such liability cannot be excluded by law.
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform obligations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, supply shortages, third-party trades, or site access issues.
All content on the Website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and the Bucks Electrical name and branding, is owned by or licensed to Bucks Electrical and is protected by Australian copyright and trade mark laws. Use of any third-party website is at your own risk and subject to that site’s own terms.
Any personal information you provide to us through the Website (such as your name, phone number, email address, and property address) is collected and used in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), for the purpose of responding to your enquiry, providing a quote, and delivering our services. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Bucks Electrical against any loss, damage, cost, or expense arising from your misuse of the Website, breach of these Terms, or provision of inaccurate or misleading information in connection with a quote or booking.
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, the Website, or the services provided by Bucks Electrical (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws in force in the State of New South Wales, Australia.
You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and any courts entitled to hear appeals from those courts, in respect of any such dispute or claim.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be severed, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
